With a net worth of around $12 million as reported by Forbes. Bell has a profitable endorsement deal with the Jordan sporting brand, boosting his financial prowess, on top of the relatively successful musical career he has carved out for himself on the side of his playing time. Bell certainly had plenty of time to focus on music, as he was an NFL free agent, sitting out the entire season.
The Steelers originally wanted to re-sign Bell with a $14.5 million salary, but he refused to sign the papers and therefore missed the contract deadline. This rendered him a free agent. Despite that, in the five years prior to this, Bell made more than $16 million by playing for the Steelers (2013 to 2017).
Four Year Deal
Bell had signed a four year deal with the New York Jets, ending his free agency and setting up a new season of success ahead. CBS Sports state that it is around the $52 million
Many hope that this contract will be a long and continuous one for Bell, who has seen his career to date marred by ongoing wrangles over finances. His musical career certainly tells the story of his financial issues with his former club, and the fact that he felt he was worth more than they were willing to offer. Despite that, the Jets feel that Bell, one of the most sought-after players in the league, is the one to offer them the prowess to challenge for the title.
